How 40° Below Joe became a thing.

Back in the day, ice cream was the same old same old, until Dippin’ Dots® creator and founder Curt Jones came into play. Not only did he change the way we ate ice cream, by freezing the delightful dairy product to a cooling, freezing temperature of -320F, but he changed the way we enjoy theme parks, sporting events, and other fun activities that people adore.

A cool new way to enjoy coffee.


After 20 plus years of creating smiles and satisfying taste buds around the world, it was time for a fresh start; this is when 40° Below Joe was created. Curt’s story of bringing a whole new twist to ice cream is revived into this generations joy. Coffee. By using similar technology, technique and tools to create Dippin’ Dots® ice cream, Curt found that he could flash freeze coffee lover’s favorite coffees, espressos, creamers and more, all being dairy-free.
